Vehicle Maintenance Division
The Vehicle Maintenance Division’s primary mission is the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the City of Unalaska’s gas and diesel vehicles and machinery. The City has more than 150 units requiring general upkeep and repair. The service work and repairs are accomplished by four Mechanics and one Fuel Operator. The Mechanic Supervisor oversees the scheduling, parts ordering, and day-to-day administrative activities to keep the fleet rolling. The Vehicle Maintenance Division is often called upon by other departments to assist in a wide variety of repair and fabrication work on a variety of City related projects.
