Taxicab Voluntary Suspension of Permit
VOLUNTARY SUSPENSION
If the permit holder wishes, he or she may submit an application to the Director of Public Safety requesting a voluntary suspension of the permit for a single period not to exceed 3 months in any consecutive 12-month period. The Director of the Police Department may grant the suspension if he or she determines that the suspension is justified by reduced seasonal passenger traffic, or that such suspension will not adversely affect the public convenience and necessity, or that the suspension is reasonably necessary for the economic welfare of the permit holder.
